Pleasing God

Have you ever asked yourself what it takes to please God? Be it in Service, day to day relationships, or in our personal walk with God? I have asked myself. But God’s Word (as always) comes to the rescue for us.

But without faith, it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6.

Walking (or working) with God and bringing Him pleasure does not have to be a hit and miss thing for us. It’s as simple as stepping out in faith each day and expressing belief in His existence and in His unfailing ability to reward diligent seekers.

It is not enough to just claim unshakable belief in the existence of God. How much of His Words do you know? How much of it do you believe and walk in? How much of His words do you apply in Service, Relationships, and your personal walk? That is the measure of how much you really believe in His existence.

In our Service, relationships and personal walk, it is also very important that we truly believe and understand that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. God requires us to always look out for what His heart’s desire is. It is when we have this revelation that we can truly do all things “as unto the Lord”, in a way that pleases Him.

Your sacrifices in service to God (in a manner of speaking) may be at the level of picking a random lamb to sacrifice (like Abel) or picking your one and only everything to sacrifice on the altar of service (like Abraham) or maybe somewhere in between. All God requires to be pleased, is a heart that offers the sacrifice with Faith- a heart that truly believes in the existence of God, and His ability to reward diligent seekers.

It is not the enormity of the sacrifice that pleases God, it is the heart behind it.

  1. “…the measure of how much we really believe in God’s existence is how much of His word we daily apply in all that we do…”
    I’ve been blessed. Thank you.
