The concept of time is something we all relate to. For some, it’s in the brevity of it, for others, it’s in the longevity. But everyone, one way or the other does business with time. Several systems have been established over time to properly account for and communicate the passage and usage of time.
Time also helps us allot seasons and the usage that will make them profitable. The Noahic covenant had this dimension allotted to it. In some sense, it was a covenant built around time. For God said: As long as the earth remains…
The Preacher King – Solomon, took this a step further to give us some sense concerning the possibilities of time.
[2]A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 (KJV)
[3]A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[4]A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[5]A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[6]A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
[7]A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[8]A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Embedded there in is a wisdom with respect to time. There is a time to virtually anything under the sun.
Now, we find that, for any outcome desired under the sun, in time, we need to find the required input, and as long as the earth remains, time is designed to make room for the expression of the commensurate outcome, one-way or the other. This is interesting. Meaning that we don’t have to mope over lost time, or worry that time has gone concerning certain results. So long as there is still any time, then those outcomes are still possible.
This is one of the mysteries of each day, we wake up to. Listen, one day there will be time no longer. The stream of time will cease to flow. Each day is proof that things are still possible.
Another point to note is that one of the multifaceted expressions of God is His Mercy. There is an outflow of the Mercy that isn’t tied to our request in prayer, but rather it is tied to time.
[22] It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

[23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
So the Mercies of the Lord that makes for our preservation is tied to time, God put them on daily auto-renewal. And this system is guarded by the Faithfulness of God. So as long as God remains faithful, there will be mercies available every morning.
Friends, time wasn’t just designed to be used as a tool to count time. It’s a mysterious provision that God gave to man. It can be your greatest resource. Time isn’t neutral alone. It can be for you.
