Life Lessons!

What I think about life phases and processes is that they all come as lessons, and it is critical you learn from them as they come.

I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8 (KJV)

Have you ever peeled shells off boiled eggs? I bet you’d say it’s a bittersweet experience. Lol!

I was in the kitchen with a friend and had to boil eggs. The water boiled and obviously it was time to peel the eggs. He offered to help out and I agreed.

There were two eggs in the bowl and as soon as he started peeling them, he became quiet. This called my attention to him because I was wondering why he became quiet all of a sudden.

[25] Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you.
[26] Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.

Proverbs 4:25-26 (AMP)

Then I discovered that the first egg was giving him a hard time to peel. The shell kept going off with the egg white despite the fact that it was in water for a while before peeling. Eventually, he could only save about half of the egg.

I already gave up on the second egg after the outcome of the first, so I didn’t pay attention but to my surprise the shell went off faster and easier than the first.

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)

Before you start wondering what I’m trying to drive at with this piece, I hope you believe my opening statement? Do you see the basic processes that make up life as lessons or mere happenings?

From peeling two eggs, I was reminded about the need to be focused and observant during phases of life in order to have great outcomes. And if this doesn’t happen just as I expected it to, I shouldn’t give up. There’s always the need to be hopeful.

For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.

Proverbs 23:18 (AMP)

As you read this, leave with the resolution to be intentional as you daily go through life. This way, you grow through it. Life is a lesson, learn it!
