Keep It Funded!

I came across a quote by Billy Cox recently and it has since stuck with me;

“Your TRUST account is a lot more important than your bank account.

This means there’s another account aside the regular account types you might know of.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26:3 (Good News Version)

This quote hit home harder when I had an experience with a service provider whom i thought I could trust. It happened that he provided me the regular logistics service two days ago, I paid but he didn’t have change so I told him to hold on to the balance for my use later.

He was grateful and agreed that it would be deducted from the next transaction.

I made another transaction with him this morning and I deliberately asked him how much I was meant to pay totally, he told me the exact amaount without deducting previous balance with him.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Numbers 23:19 (Good News Version)

A part of me wanted to remind him but I let it go with the resolve to always give him the exact amount for every transaction with him.

Now, who knows whether he forgot or it was an intentional act? Just himself and his conscience. But what changed? The level of trust I have in him reduced.

One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

Luke 16:10 (Good News Version)

Do you know how many times humans have acted in untrustworthy ways with God the Omniscient? Still, He overlooks and loves you unconditionally.

The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.

Psalm 111:7 (Good News Version)

How rich is your Trust Account with God? Can He trust you completely? Can He entrust you with souls of His children to cater for? How have you been using the special gifts He has placed in you? How have you been handling those assignments under your care?

For you to scale heights as we cross over into the start of new seasons, prove yourself a worthy. Your trust account with God should never read zero, keep it funded!
