The Principal Thing.

Life is hands on and practical, and to be able to function fully as an ambassador of Christ on earth, you need one principal thing in all your dealings. This thing is called Wisdom.

Wisdom, according to my dictionary, is simply doing things the way they are meant to be done. It’s the right application of the right knowledge gotten. Basically, doing the right thing at the right time.

Any human who can effectively handle or deal with both positive and negative circumstances, relationships or any other human endeavours is often regarded to be wise.

Wisdom is crucial, and so also is discernment. This is because we live in a world of mirages and illusions, where things appear in a way they are not in actuality.

How can someone be wise enough to know not to tread the path that leads to death/destruction? How can they be wise enough to know when they are only being lured into a trap?

The answer is Discernment.

So now that we have established that wisdom (and discernment) is necessary for one to be able to successfully navigate life, there is need to ask: how can one get this wisdom?

For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6 (KJV)

God is the giver of wisdom. He guides those who diligently seek His will through His speakings and His scriptures.

What will profit you? What will make you live a fulfilled, memorable life, worthy of emulation?

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)

Don’t be too busy to get WISDOM. Read God’s word, also read books that will build you and make you a relevant person that can never be ignored.
