Stuck!

I got stuck! 😱 Yeah, I’m sure you’re wondering what happened or what I mean by what you just read. Well, I’m here to let you in fully;

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever..

John 14:16 (AMP)

I got home from work terribly exhausted and all I wanted to do was to just lie on my bed. That’s all. I wasn’t even bothered about food because I wasn’t hungry, I just longed to rest my back.

I got to the door, knocked but didn’t get a response. So, I put my key into the hole and tried to open the door. That’s how the ‘tug of turning’ started. I tried turning the key in order to open the door but it just wasn’t working.

And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

1 John 5:15 (AMP)

Soon enough, I realized someone was home and had apparently left a key at the other side of the hole. The key couldn’t turn, the door couldn’t open and I couldn’t go in – I was stuck!

Have you ever been in a situation that got you thinking there was no easy way to come out from it? Has life served you baskets of lemons in quick succession and you’re wondering how fast you’re supposed to make lemonade out of the lemons? Where all that comes to your head is “Where do I go from here?”

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)

The last time I went through a trying time seemed overwhelming and I was totally down in my spirit. After a lot of thinking about what to do, I knew I just had to call on the Holy Spirit to help me. There was nothing else I could do and no one to step in for me at that point. And guess what? He did.

Sometimes, when God saves you from tough situations, it means He has to let you go through it and that is salvation for you at that point. The kind of answer or rescue you want right now, might be totally different from what He has scripted out.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

Psalm 91:15 (NIV)

It’s simple. Call on Him in moments of despair and He will come through, whether it’s the way you like it or not. Don’t stay stuck please!

And, in case you’re wondering how I got out of my tricky situation, you’ll have to stick around till next week when I come your way again. Ciao!
