There is a popular saying that trends among believers every easter celebration season. It goes thus; “He is risen, Hallelujah, Christ is alive!”
When I reflected on today’s sermon (a powerful and awesome message on the redemption of humanity that was made possible through Christ’s resurrection), it brought to minx a bible passage in Galatians 2;
I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
I believe this season to be the most important celebration in Christianity because we celebrate Jesus conquering death and the new life we now have in him!
It is important to note that Easter is not just the festivities but about Jesus coming to life for the redemption of our souls, and celebrating the new life we gained through him.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.Romans 6:8(KJV)
Truly, that there would be no Christianity if Christ had not been raised from the dead.
By virtue of our salvation, our fallings have been paid for in full, and we have been connected once more to our heavenly Father. We can call on and have direct access to Him, a unique privelege. Because of his resurrection, we are free from condemnation, sin, and death!
Let this season be the reason we reach out to unbelievers, telling them of the redemption we have in Christ.
Happy Easter Celebration!
