I’ll like you to read this passage with me:
4: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5: It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6: Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7: It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)
The above bible passage gives us a perfect picture of what love should be like. But reading this almost hurts when we compare how it is supposed to be versus how it is in real life — because we all know how painfully rare it is to see this kind of love in real life.
God’s love is a choice He makes based on HIS will, not on our worthiness of being loved. God proved that He loves us by giving up His Son to save us from our sins, even when we were sti sinners.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16 (NIV)
Love exists where people choose to embrace it wholly. Are you trusting in God’s love for you?
The best love you can ever receive or enjoy has already been given to you freely by God through Jesus Christ.
Come solemnly before His throne of Grace and embrace this perfect love.
