A Season To Remember…

It might interest you to note that I have always admired a woman in the Bible called Dorcas (a.k.a Tabitha). Well, this isn’t totally because that’s my name ๐Ÿ˜‚, but because of the state of her heart.

At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

Acts 9:36 (NKJV)

Dorcas was a woman who gave all through her lifetime. She gave to the young and old, to the privileged and the underprivileged. Her goodness, kindness and warmth spoke great things for her in death.

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought [him] to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

Acts 9:39 (NKJV)

Imagine somebody’s deeds (people call it legacy these days) causing him to be brought back to life, what would the heavens do for such a person? What do people think about you? Or it doesn’t matter to you?

I understand the concept of not dwelling on what people think or say about you, and I agree. Still, you should pay more attention to the kind of person you are and the genuineness of your actions. Develop the qualities that make you you.

It’s that season of the year where kindness, love, sharing, and giving are core qualities to be shown by everyone. What’s your super power this season? What’s that extra thing you’ll do for people that’ll make marks in their lives forever? Make it a special Christmas for someone to remember… ๐ŸŽ„
