Previously, we discussed the good news in the Christian faith that we have been bought with a price. That price was the Blood of Jesus Christ paid for the remission of sins and avails for full redemption. It is the complete package.
Currently, let’s ponder on how to mind our spiritual lives. After receiving Christ in our spirit and being born again, even though we still live physically in this world, however, in the spirit realm, we are now seated with Christ in heavenly places.
(5)Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)
(6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (KJV).
However, it is how seated with Christ in our spiritual status that will determines how well we will manifest this experimentally in our daily livings.
The scriptural passage Romans 8:1-2 gave details likewise too on spiritual mindedness;
(1). There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(2). For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death: (KJV).
We see then that there are two laws. The law of the sprit of life in Christ. And the law of sin and death. Our minded becomes important then:
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
If we’re spiritually-minded, we will experience the law of the spirit of life that brings blessings unto us. But if we’re carnally minded, we will experience the law of sin and death that can bring curses.
Realizing that we’re born again with God’s fullness dwelling in our spirit, we should not be carnally (worldly) minded to avoid spiritual death. But rather we should walk in constant recognition and alignment with the mind of the spirit, to the end that we come experientially into the fulness of Christ life within us.
