Bought with a price.

A few weekends back, I was opportune to visit my Paternal grandmother who loves entertaining visitors which she keeps engaged by telling her stories of her indigene past. These visitors are mostly grandchildren, who are greeted to with warm accommodation, and was usually gladdened by it.

During this wonderful season, I observed a beautiful fair young lady who carried big bowls on her head with a sacked fully loaded with used clothes. She passed by and advertised to prospective buyers in my mother’s tongue(Yoruba language) “Ewa paro aso yin ooo” (that customers should buy her bowls in exchange for their used native attires at home).

This event which I experienced made me remember an elective course I learned in university days regarding variable ways by which goods and consumables are gotten for consumption purposes.

In the olden days, one of the ways by which Individuals acquired his or her needed consumption was through “trade by barter” that serves as an exchange rate for the things the individual possessed and the actual things he or she needed. But as time went on, it was observed that the price possession exchange was difficult to achieve. This led to the current state of events in the modern-day in which the currency exchange rate has overtaken this olden day exchange rate on goods consumption.

In the Christian faith, the exchange rates on goods consumption that was explained are likened to the Old Testament on the expression of salvation. That gave detailed instructions on lambs’ killings as sacrifices to remit their iniquities and provide a framework on which they can be forgiven by God.

Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (KJV).

The good news is that we have been bought with a price that is costly “The precious blood of Jesus”. Therefore anyone who accepts Christ as Lord and savior has enjoyed this privilege in the new testament system we are in. So we are no more enslaved with the need to offer sacrifices before we can access the remission of sin.

So the way is now open for as many want be a part of the exchange. The remission of Sins is available on by the Blood of Jesus Christ. It avails for full redemption. It’s a complete purchase.

2 Corithians 5:17
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new: (KJV).
