Freshen Up!

Some days ago, something crossed my mind as I walked into the office. Before I jump the gun, I’ll start from the cause of this ‘deep thinking’ so that we can think about it together. 😅 Here goes…

My office is located at a rather good vantage point for commercial activities and transactions. Just around the building is an hospital, other complexes and of course eateries! Ooh la la! The latter is the sole trigger of what I spoke about earlier.

[18] Now Mount Sinai [was] completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

Exodus 19:18

Day in and day out, the aroma of different dishes and specials always find their way into the office space. This happens so much that I already have a fair idea of when to expect this scintillating aroma at different times of each day, especially when it’s Chicken😩. This torture worsens even more when I’m not boxed up one bit to get myself some.

How many times have people asked you about the brand of the perfume or fragrance you wear just because you smell fresh and good? Or is it possible to walk into a place without knowing there’s a good scent around somewhere? Now, the case should be similar when you carry God’s presence all around.

[19] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
[20] For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

God is seeking for temples to reside in and yours should not be vacant. He works in, with and through every person who opens the door to let Him in.

Let go of sins (bad habits, evil actions and impure thoughts) because they gradually cause decay and make people stink all around. It’s time to freshen up!

[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1
