Nothing Fickle!

By default, the human mind believes that it is all up to the Father of the Universe to give, give and keep giving. In this dispensation, there are a handful of people whose core reason for showing up in God’s presence is to keep receiving from Him. Not bad right?

James 1:17

[17] Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle.

You know how amazing it gets when you have someone in your life that you can always go to when you need things? Just imagine how super amazing it’ll get when you get all that you need even before you ask for them! Mind blowing right? That’s a typical representation of man’s relationship with God. He is constant and you can count on Him.

Matthew 7:7

[7] “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

I get scared when someone gives me things too freely and easily without an expressed intention. I run away from that kind of person because I feel it’s too good to be true. In response to that, I just want to do something back, no matter how little.

As little as it might sound, how about giving God one thing that’s important to Him and means all to Him? Your heart. Your obedience. Your time. Your offering. Giving God your heart will open you up to greater realms of intimacy with Him. It is always beyond receiving. Give Him your all!

Deuteronomy 6:5

[5] Love GOD, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!
