A few weeks ago, I had prepared as fast as I could to get to work early enough. I woke up early and had packed my bag the night before to ensure there were no delays. I dressed up with speed, said my goodbyes and out I went.
Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
Usually, I would need to take a motorcycle right outside the gate of my house that’ll convey me to a major bus stop. I thought it wouldn’t take long to get a bike. To my surprise I stood there longer than expected and it was still in the early hours of the morning.
While I waited, I noticed a lady walk past me with a certain level of speed. A thought then crossed my mind about trekking just like her, at least to save time instead of waiting there in uncertainty. I then considered the weight of the bag that I carried and chose to wait for a bike to arrive.
A long while after the lady had passed, I said a quiet prayer and a bike came my way. I mounted it and we took off. On our way, I noticed that the lady hadn’t actually covered a lot of distance like I thought, and in that moment, I was glad I waited.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:
There are ways life treats us sometimes and we start to dwell on the thought that life isn’t fair. You start to think about your friend that has done this and the other that has done that. Soon, you start to see your weaknesses and even become blind to your great sides. Is this the way the Father wants you to go?
Proverbs 3:5 Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
I agree that there can be delays on the path to purpose and destiny fulfillment. Especially when you already have seen the destination and know what the big picture looks like. Don’t give up on your future, instead, quit comparing yourself to others.
Focus on your growth and stay dedicated to those strategic systems and structures you’ve put in place to help your journey to purpose. Be where the Father has placed you and move in His timing always!
Jeremiah 29:11 I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out–plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
