Push On!

I was opportune to be on a tour to a farm facility very recently and I’ve not been able to recover from the vital experiences I gleaned. The vastness of the landmass I saw was amazing but an extra thing caught my attention, how the farmers utilized the space they had to work with.

Proverbs 10:4-5

[4] Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
[5] He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
(NIV)

On each plot of land, there were plantations of different kinds. Various fruits were available to be eaten, and I even had the chance to taste a fruit I had never tasted before that day. (You can imagine the joy that filled my belly… 😂)
Not too long into the tour, I started getting tired 😩 but there was still more sight to see and more grounds to cover… So I continued.

I was amazed at how every single thing had a purpose, including the plants that looked pretty much like weed to me. I started hearing stories behind the core attitudes required to farm. Diligence, patience, consistency, optimism and so many others are guides to help anyone cultivate rich farmland. Imagine planting a seed and waiting for it to grow into a tree for 20 years? 😳

How much of these attributes or virtues have played out in how you live your life? Especially Diligence?

Hebrews 6:11

[11] We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
(NIV)

In everything you do in life and in every area you find yourself, never leave out the extra dose of diligence. It isn’t only about exerting physical energy but also about thinking up calculative strategies and channeling them to produce the most effective results.

Now, don’t reserve diligence to the four walls of your workplace or your craft, infuse it into your spiritual walk with God, achieving your financial target, maintaining a healthy diet, and building healthy relationships

Remember, Diligence is:

constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken.

Just in case you’ve been putting in your best and the results you get aren’t encouraging, keep on pushing on! Your breakthrough is here! ❤️
