When I was a little girl, there was a particular game for children of my age group, and the older ones used to play. Everyone would sing a song asking and beckon on children that had the ‘special gift‘ of jumping from heights higher than them. You must be wondering how safe this game was for children right? Well, it was for the skilled and those with the attitude. 😂
With this game, some children showed audacity and nerves while the others were very bothered about their safety. Here’s a question for you; how brave are you in the face of daunting decisions? And daring situations?
Joshua 1:9 Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. GOD, your God, is with you every step you take.”
A man like Daniel found himself in a strange land and numerous strange circumstances; one of which was the test of his faith in God. His life depended on how much he treasured his communion with the Father. Rather than fret about losing His life, he did something remarkable!
Daniel 6:10-11 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.
Then the officials went together to Daniel’s house and found him praying and asking for God’s help.
Just like that, a righteous man was delivered to the claws and teeth of Lions. Who could have thought he would last longer than ten minutes (give or take)? But God delivered him and swapped him with his enemies.
What is that situation that’s causing you to give up your relationship with the Lord?
1 Corinthians 16:13 Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute,
Be like Daniel, choose courage over fear, victory over defeat, and rest over uneasiness. Don’t succumb to temptations, hardships, or mockery, God no go shame you! Remember, shame isn’t associated with His name.
Dare your fear!
Isaiah 41:1 That’s right. Because I, your GOD, have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go. I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic. I’m right here to help you.’
