A little while after I got encouraged by a particular friend of mine, to try setting goals. I tried hard to think about all I wanted to see happen to me at that time. This was because I had always believed I didn’t have the serious goals’, that deserved to be put down on paper. Weird right? I didn’t see anything wrong with this mindset back then.

Habakkuk 2:2
[2] And then GOD answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run.
(MSG)
What do you see? In your mind’s eye? What do you perceive in your spirit? What has the Father revealed to you about yourself and your journey?
I’ve been to training where I didn’t bother writing anything that caught my attention, and I’ve placed the outcome of those events side-by-side the ones I had my books filled from taking notes. Anytime I try to remember vital points from the latter, there’s already a bank to refer to at any point in time.
You can’t remember everything you hear but you can refer to them when you write them down. So, create time and start putting your desires, your seeings, your longings down intentionally; and then they become tangible goals you can run with eventually.
“If you don’t know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else.” –Lawrence J. Peter
Just like me, you might find it difficult to remember complex expressions, then make your goals simple and easy to understand. Break them down into bits and steps you can take daily. This way, you’ll be able to navigate easily through processes with your goals in mind without distractions.
Psalm 90:12
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
(KJV)
Once you have these plans painted and detailed, then you have to follow the set steps. The internal factors you need to do so include faith, determination, focus, discipline/self-control; to actualize and thoroughly follow through. Don’t delay in painting the Big Picture, the future awaits!
Jeremiah 29:11
[11] I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out–plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
