These days, there is a lot of talk about success, greatness, achievement. And I find that to be interesting. Are we suddenly more interested in succeeding than the generation before us? Or are we more awakened to the thirst for success because of the platform that social media provides in showcasing the “stories” of other people? Several routes have been proposed as the fastest to achieving success, and quite frankly most of them are strange, to say the least.
I thought in my heart, even as I saw it clearly that God desires that the believer succeeds. Several ingredients go into the mix for this intended outcome. I’d share two tonight.
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
First, is the law of Vision. God calls us to see, the reality of what He calls us into. That’s why the Apostle Paul prayed for the believers at Ephesus, that the eyes of their understanding being enlighten or opened as they were. That their eyes of understanding be flooded with light. You see nothing, you become nothing to worse, anything. One of the limitations on a man is the limitations of the scope of his vision.
Second, the law of Process. It’s great that you have seen it. This next part is just as important. You must be able to walk the Vision. Realize that, Abraham was called to walk the scope of vision.
The idea then is this, Law of Vision determines the scope of possibility- As far as you can see.
The Law of Process determines the scope of our experience. You will see it but becomes tangible as it were as you pay attention to the necessary steps required to convert what you have seen to fruition.
Most people launch out into the becoming without having the faintest idea of what they are supposed to become. So I hear people say: Men, I need to make money, to be filthy rich. Of course, I understand what they mean, but quietly I wonder if that is a product of sight or an errand in darkness.
On the other hand, those who have seen, and yet think that things will just happen. Well, good luck to them. For even God, on record was said to have worked in Creation and Recreation to bring about the reality on His heart. If God worked, in keeping with that which was the divine counsel? I wonder why we think we can do it our way or no way at all and achieve the advertised end.
Maybe one day, we would have to investigate what God calls Success. But for now…
Have you seen it? How are you walking? To be continued.
