It’s amazing when you recognize the truth that some specific things can’t be handled singlehandedly. As humans, there are times we need help. It’s not out of place for you not to be able to carry out ‘those’ things all by yourself.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
Zerubbabel was a man that had the zeal to carry out the rebuilding of God’s dwelling place; the Temple. Despite his tenacity and drive, he still had to be reminded that God’s plan would certainly be fulfilled but through His Spirit. You might be wondering what this means in our modern-day generation. This means total reliance on the ability of the Holy Spirit!
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever“
Quite recently, we had to move from our place of residence to a new place. There were items to be transferred, from furniture to our stuff and it wasn’t an easy task to be accomplished. As soon as we arrived at our new home, we started moving the items from the van inside.
Then it was time for us to carry the chairs, at that point everyone knew that just one person couldn’t do it alone. Eventually, four of us carried them one after the other into the apartment. This was achieved because there was a recognition of the need for accumulated power and a greater level of strength. Most times, all you need to do is to acknowledge your true state without the strength and direction of the Holy Spirit.
He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.
Be reminded that you’re never alone. His Spirit is always ready to come to your rescue in whatever situation you find yourself in. So, rest in the strength and ability of the Holy Spirit in fulfilling God’s plans for your life. He that started a good work in you will bring it to completion.
