The Unique Treasure

I remember how in elementary school pupils are told to plant different seeds as part of learning through practical. The joy and excitement with which most children ask their parents at home for bean or corn seed is a sight to behold. They plant their various seed types, nurturing them carefully and expectantly until it germinates.

Matthew 25:14
[14] Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.
(NIV)

Like the man in the parable, God has placed a treasure inside each and every one of us. Though unlike the case above, we are God’s beloved children and He has provided a manual for us to follow; the Word. He has carefully deposited His Spirit within us, to guide and help us utilize the gifts within us.

God will always provide all you need to do what He expects you to do, He can never leave you stranded. Don’t let His gifts remain unused inside you. It is time to discover the unique treasure He has planted in you.

Matthew 5:14-15
[14] You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
[15] Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.
(AMP)

Can a city set on a hill be hidden from public sight? Or can light be overwhelmed by darkness? No!
Why then do you let doubt and fear rid you of the hallowed position God has placed you? Take charge and shine bright!

Matthew 5:16
[16] Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and [aa]recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
(AMP)

God has expectations from us at the end of the day. How you use your time and life, how you develop your talents into refined skills matter. Don’t be reluctant about using your skills for the advancement of God’s kingdom and body; contribute your quota to making God glorified. He’s waiting on you!
