Strong Tower

For reasons best understood by our creator, we are in extremely sensitive times. All over the world, economies are crashing, leaders are walking on eggshells, and citizens cringing from fear of the unknown.

Amidst all that’s going wrong in the world today, I want you to be aware that some specific set of persons are getting stronger, better and wealthier. Yeah. Some made their first millions during the lockdown. Others got new jobs while everyone else complained bitterly about scarcity. I’ll let you into the secret as we proceed.

Proverbs 18:10
[10] The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong.
(AMP)

As we journey through life, we run away from thousands of things that scare us. Then we look to find solace in men, forgetting they’re humans like us. Though we get relieved the fear remains. Have we been running in the wrong directions all this while?
While checking for what a tower represents, I found out that it is a structure meant to provide protection for or against something. The name of the Lord is a bulwark of strength. I had to ask myself a question if His name alone is a representation of strength, how much more His person? Why do you run from this tower?

Psalm 27:1
[1]The Lord is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
(AMP)

The secret to sustaining yourself in this season is to make the Lord your refuge and make Him the center that holds every aspect of your life together. It’s that simple. This will take a lot of trust, intentionality, and consistency. Keep calling out to Him daily for help and He would answer always. Just ensure your ways are pleasing to Him and He won’t stay away. Run into the strong tower today!

Psalms 34:17-20
[17] Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you.
[18] If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.
[19] Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time.
[20] He’s your bodyguard, shielding every bone;not even a finger gets broken.

  1. Indeed, Standing God is victorious, gives me victory and makes me a victor! What more can I say? Lord teach me to trust you wholly. Amen.
