God’s Symphony

We had previously looked at the Orchestra, and we saw the various factors at play and the interplay between them all. We established that we- the created man, on account of our being created by Him, became part of his orchestra and that God stands before us all as the great conductor, making sense of our contributions even as we are guided by the musical script before us. We concluded by asking a question: What is the music of God? This is the subject before us at this time.

Maybe a disclaimer before I continue, this is not a philosophical construct, neither am I a philosopher of sorts.

In answering the question at hand, let’s consider two identical verses of Scripture.

Numbers 14:21
[21]But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

Habakkuk 2:14
[14]For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

In looking at these verses, I find it quite intriguing that in the Numbers reference that God added an oath to what He was saying, it must have so critical that he wanted to give a double assurance to avoid all forms of doubt about the matter.

It seems quite clear to my mind that God has one (permit me to use the word) obsession and it is this: that the knowledge of His glory will fill the earth.

This I believe is the music of God. And everything he has ever done, is doing and intends to do as it were is to achieve this end of His. And he intends for this to be the sole aim of that which we find ourselves doing either individually and as a collective in any sphere or domain. To lose sight of this, or to have any other output is surely a sign and a product of the reality that we are out of sync with Him and with each other. We were meant to showcase the glory of God. That was why we were designed and configured the way we are, we were meant for glory, his glory– in abounding measures in every place, space, and time – For He desired for his glory to fill the whole earth just as the waters cover the sea.

There is a problem. But that’s for later. Next up, now that we have seen the desire of the great composer, we would attempt to examine the musical sheet placed before each and every one of us.

Right then. I trust you were blessed. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Tabitha Dee will be here with you tomorrow. It would be a blessing in the name of the Lord.

Have a wonderful time.
