In the midst of the hustle and bustle as we daily strive to become better people in every way, I sometimes wonder how much our effort and many at times restlessness does for us. Have you ever taken time to look at the blue sky and the beautiful birds chirping their happy tunes across it? The Son says something about them.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?“. Matthew 6:25-27
There’s a peace that comes with resting solely in the ability of God, trusting Him with your weaknesses and choosing to run the life race with His strength. With all this in place, why bother about tomorrow when there’s hope? You are much more valuable to Him than every other creature! Dear friend, be reminded that He has you in mind, the thought of you fills His heart every time and He would not let any harm come to you. He goes further to reassure you with His words:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Our Father is the author of every good thing, goodness is His character. You were not created as an addition but with an intention! We all get worried about what tomorrow looks like and the summary of what it has in store for us but we tend to loose sight of another side to this amazing plan He has for us individually. The promise of His presence! As humans, it is natural to get discouraged along the way and as a result ask questions each time things go wrong but we have an High Priest who has gone through all we ever would have to encounter and has given us a grand victory!
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
What more do you need to hold on to if not the words of your Father? He has promised and will bring it to pass. This is the true definition of help that comes with fresh hope for your tomorrow. This is not the time to give up! Embrace hope today!
